Located in the historic Lumbershed Building on The Navy Yard waterfront, this project is an adaptive redesign of the former Brookfield offices, originally designed by LSM. The transformation reflects a commitment to modernity, functionality, and cutting-edge technology, resulting in a workplace and conference center that aligns with Xylem’s vision and mission.
A standout feature of the design is the two-story LED digital waterfall, a striking element located in the double-height entrance atrium. Positioned just behind the glass staircase, it creates a dramatic and welcoming focal point that embodies innovation and sustainability.
The project proudly achieved LEED Platinum certification, underscoring its dedication to environmental responsibility and energy efficiency. This certification highlights the integration of sustainable practices and cutting-edge systems throughout the design and construction process.
This redesign successfully merges the building’s historic charm with a clean, modern aesthetic, delivering a technologically advanced space that fosters productivity and collaboration while honoring its waterfront location.
